Instructors

Ginny Breeland Sensei

Ginny Breeland has been training Aikido since 1979. She has trained with Dr. William Morris, Dennis Tatoian-Sensei, and since 1989 with Hans Goto-Sensei. Ginny, a 5th degree blackbelt (godan), has concentrated her study on riai; the parallel of body movement while using sword or staff to empty-handed technique. Her dual focus on weapons and empty-handed practice helps students develop a posture and stability that is essential for a proficient basic foundation. She believes that an open mind is one's greatest asset to learning and discovering potential.

Ron Wada Sensei

Ron Wada holds a 4th degree black belt (yondan) in Aikido. He began his Aikido training in 1979 under the late Steve Sasaki Sensei in Berkeley, CA. His aikido has been most significantly influenced by Hans Goto Sensei, Hiroshi Ikeda Sensei, and Kazuo Chiba Sensei. Ron’s classes emphasize body control, dynamic movement (tai-sabaki), and experiencing the exhilaration and joy of training.
